Myanmar Times



The Myanmar Times' Australian editor is in some trouble with the government. He is being held and charged with a drugging and assault charge against a local Burmese women and also some immigration charges.
As one of Burma's only English newspapers, the Myanmar Times is the main sources of information from inside the repressive regime to the majority of the world. Even so, the opposition sees it as a puppet of the government's will, which still imposes heavy censorship throughout it's pages.
