My M5s need red dots!
I just plastered the Members Gallery with a number of my Barcelona shots, including six from one Anti-Terrorism Demonstration I ran into on March 12.
I've been following advice here about scanning and PS-ing photos, so I hope the B&W meet Doug's expectations (his suggestions are useful!).
Feel free to post comments! Thanks a big lot!
Here's a bit to whet your appetite... This is from the demonstration. You can see the rest at the RFF Members Gallery!

Contrasting image...
Francisco, here you've certainly captured the energy of the moment! And the pidgeons' reaction is to turn backsides to the event?
While the color shot looks good, there's still something lacking about the B&W tonality. Perhaps there is some flare around the center? Don't know what to suggest, not being an expert, excpept to bump the contrast in the midtones... maybe with the Curves control?

Doug, that's the word you use a lot, which I've seen a lot too, and don't quite understand it well: tonality. Could you explain? I did pay attention to your comments in some of my B&W shots, and when I scanned the latest I made sure not to overexpose or overdo the midtones in the levels histogram.
BTW, yes, that's a case of flare, but the lens used is sadly prone to it: an Elmar 90/4, made in 1936 (its filter size is still 36mm).
Thanks a lot in advance!!
