I have a Nikon coolscan 4000ED that i've been happily using for a while. The one thing that annoys me is that i can only batchscan strips of 6 frames at onetime. This was untill i saw a thread here at RFF to a link that gave instructions for hacking my SA-21 in to a SA-30. I'am going to go ahead and do this but just a little confused about the software. Can i batch scan a entire roll using Nikon scan? I've been using it since getting the scanner and would prefer to stick with it rather than vuescan.

If i can't then can some one PLEASE tell me what version of vuescan i need? All i want is to batch scan a entire roll and save them in inProphoto or adobe RGB color space as NEF files (although 16bit Tiff would be alright as well). I don't care about the unlimited updates and can't figure out what other advantages i have for getting the professional version.
