How long should Hexar RF run on two CR2 batteries?
I think my Hexar is draining batteries too fast.

Many many tens of films I am afraid. With the new batteries it was like 30-40 films for sure (I dont own the camera any more).
According to the manual, operation temperature range is from -10°C to +50°C.
However, if you are using camera now outside due to the extreme cold the batteries will drain very quickly.

I did 15 rolls last year with a new battery. If this one lasts until the end of 2012 I'm ok. That would mean about 30 rolls and two years battery life.
@Matschka: What is your count?

New batteries lasted for 1,5 month and 5-6 rolls of film shot during last autumn.
Baybe bad luck though. Ill give it another chance with new batteries.

Last try - are you sure that you have the new and original batteries?

Yes. Kodak Lithium CR2 3V. Last time I bought new pair from photostore and their expiration date was in 2013.

Yes, I think it is. I wonder if it is repairable.

In Japan for sure via for example Japan Exposures.
The question is if it is worth doing it.

hexar rf do about 120+ rolls on a fresh pair of batteries actually. I've put maybe 40 rolls through mine and battery indicator still shows full, even in freezing -10c weather in Stockholm now.

Thanks Vobluda. Im saving it into my bookmarks.
Im putting a final test to my camera. Put a new pair of batteries inside and left the camera turned off.
Moriturii, that sounds like a lot, especially in temperatures like that.

I think I average around 20rolls every two years (over 10 years) with each pair of Duracel or Energizer I use. The only thing I've notice is that sometimes the battery indicator is usually mostly full through the two years and then drops off to the blinking 1 bar close to the two year mark.
The only time I have had a drastic battery drain was that I left the power switch on with no film and I'm guessing the shutter was being slightly depressed while it was in my bag.
