Hi all,

I have a Rolleiflex 6002 and the battery will not charge anymore, does anyone
have a place where I can get a good replacement? I'll even rebuild one if need be.

Thanks

You have three options. You can re-cell your NiCad’s, change to NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries, or change to Lithium Ion batteries.

There are people on eBay who will sell you a DIY kit to convert to NiMh. They’ll send you the battery pack, and you install inside the existing battery housing. You’ll need to solder some wires too. I did this a few years back and the conversion went well.

There are also people on eBay who will sell you a Lithium Ion battery and charger. No need to install or solder anything, the battery comes complete, ready to use. Both NiMH and lithium ion batteries work quite well, and are much better than the old NiCad’s (no memory effect) I dumped the old NiCad batteries years ago and haven’t looked back.

Both, but I recently switched over to Lithium Ion. I like the included battery charger which allows you to charge the battery while it is in the camera.

Is this the 3d printed battery pack with the 3 AA LiOn 700mah batteries? I just recently got one and mine is a bit faulty... also I am disappointed that each battery is 700mah when you can find those 3.7v up to 2400mah for very little.

But it is nice that you can charge in body and it is a lot lighter.

the Batteries...

the Batteries...

I have a 6008i - and the batteries have been a bit of a sore spot for me since I've had it ... I had a pack rebuilt by this guy "see link" and it worked great for a few rolls at a time -- and then just quit on me after I left it in the car overnight during a cold snap...

Now -- I'm trying this -- the build is $125 -- and I hope it works.. we'll see.

JSturr, the link you referenced, this is what I bought, but for the 6006. I just got it so my experience with it is quite limited. So far, I like it.
