I had $6k worth of equipment stolen from my car. It sucks being a victim. Even more for Larry because he was injured.

The Emeryville Marina is normally a pretty laid back place - Mud Flats, Bay Bridge approach, Trader Vic's, Pixar Studios, Berkeley vicinity. I've wandered casually through much rougher places. Now it's a shame to have to look over your shoulder everywhere you go. Guess I'll have to buy up some really scuzzy looking low profile equipment the perps won't look twice at.

That is awful. It scares me that people would want to organize a planned mugging just to get a camera and some gear.

Very sad news. I don't understand why they had to use force to get his gear.

This is a daily thing around the country and it isn't just photo gear that is stolen.

This is just as bad as being the victim of the "knockout king" in St. Louis
