California (Bay Area, Northern) Bay Area RFFers Are You Proud?

I'll be at the Palo Alto Concours so it's a no-go fo me. Have fun, look forward to seeing the pics!

Hmm.... I hadn't planned on being there (I have a wedding on Saturday) but I think I'm free. I could bring out the Fuji and show my pride.

Ah yes, the "other" end of the activity spectrum. :p Take some photos while you're there, Kent! They do allow photos at that event, right?

They do Ray, LOL. This one isn't much of a snooty affair. I'll have lots of pics.

Enjoy.

I'm a Bay Area native but I'm in the Seattle area now. I'll be shooting the Pride festivities up here - a block party on Saturday and the parade on Sunday.

No way... my lenses always fog up at that event! :p

methinks you're getting a little too close up to your subjects, Jamie. :p

I'll be there wandering for a bit and then getting bored/tired and finding a place to grab a bite.

I'm right there with you, I saturate pretty quick, and Ray can really throw those elbows around when he's going after a photograph.

I wonder if people watching might be better at the Palo Alto Concours de white pants. Heck, Kent will be there......

I'm hitting dim sum with the fam, and then wandering towards the start.

Dont forget about the loafers with no socks to go with the white pants ;)

Ha!
From the ground up, my money at the Palo Alto Cockcours is on loafers with no socks, jeans (not weathered, this IS Palo Alto after all), white t-shirt (cause he's still young and can party), blue blazer (maybe black if he wants to look 'impotent'), and gell in hair that has been hit with just a touch of Just for Men (not too vain, no suh!).

Kent, if you don't see multiples of this, lunch is on me next week!

No need to worry about treating for lunch, there will be MANY of those in attendance. The mother of all Concours's, the Pebble Beach Concours, is the single best people watching event anywhere. Un-be-lievable.

I'm going tomorrow! Did you guys plan on meeting up?

What are you going to be wearing and carrying? :p Seriously, several of us should be there around 8 or 8:30, and we'll probably be on or near 1st street at that time. Other than that it's pretty informal. At that time of the day, the crowd is usually pretty thin. Just look for the folks carrying pretty rectangular cameras with small lenses and say 'Hi'. :)

Here are some of my X100 shots from the day (parade shots mixed into my RFF X100 album. I got the film processed working on that now.

Ray I had a blast as well! The film is quick to scan and process when you make low res a
scans. These came off a minilab.
