very good stuff, john, as usual. the colours look fine to me, although I think most of these shots wouldn't miss much if they were b/w (the 'counterpoint' shot would though). I am interested in the project, care to let us know a little more?

hey Simon.

i am trying to not use color as a crutch for the actual image, if you know what i mean. use it to create a bit of mood and modernity i suppose.

i have been essentially embedded with a whole crew of very young pharmaceutical opiate addicts, dealers etc. the whole mess has quickly become an epidemic in the particular city/region.

I dont like junkies. Not my sort of photography probably.

for those who are curious this is digital color.

i have always struggled with the lack of headroom (highlights) with digital. being at best a 'sloppy' shooter it takes a whole lot of thinking to sort exposure.
