Belgian photographer Max Pinckers wins Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2018

Pinckers' photographs were taken in North Korea while he was on assignment for The New Yorker weekly magazine in August 2017. His series, called 'Red Ink', has won the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2018.

Russian photographer Mary Gelman won the Leica Oskar Barnack Award Newcomer 2018 for her series “Svetlana”, about a Russian facility of the same name where handicapped people can live and work free of any prejudice or discrimination.
