Folks,
I've been looking for an indoor project for this coming winter and have thought about getting a Bender view camera to put together.
I read good things about the company and the kits, but..
Any one here ever build one? Use one?
I'm confident of my woodworking skills, just wondering what other's experience has been.
Thanks,
Rob

I knew Jay years ago when he first started selling his kits. He was a great guy, and I have no reason to think he's changed, especially since he's been in the business for nearly 30 years.
The kits back then were a bit crude (I built one), but I know they've evolved a LOT ... with your skills (mine were minimal!) I'd say you have nothing to lose at all.
I can even loan you a lens for a while when you get it built.

Earl,
Thanks for the encouragement! And the offer of a lens.
Haven't made the call yet about getting one and if I do, I'll not be in a hurry to put it together either; surest road to poor kit building is to go too fast I've learned.
I am not sure if I'll be shooting paper or film negs but will probably start with a pinhole lens.
Just need to tread very slowly around this LF gas trap...
