Benefits of analog rangefinder

I am just home after seeing Lou Reed performing "Berlin" in Stockholm. At the gates the security looked at my camera, MP with "Fat" Tele Elmarit, TriX @ 1600 and they informed me that I could not bring a camera to the show, but wait a minute thats not a digital is it? No I said. Thats not a flash the security man said pointing at at the frosted rangefinder window in the middle. No I said again 😀, no flash on this camera.
OK I`m going to let you pass with that one he said but he did not have a clue what sort of camera I had. Well Berlin was fantastic Steve Hunter plays a mean lead guitar and Lou Reed is still fantastic. Last time I saw him was in Stockolm 1975 or 1976. And I hope the two rolls of Trix will come out fine, will be posting some pics if they are any good. I dont think they would have let me pass with a DSLR.

Here in the States, he (or his management) were actually very strict about photography, especially the publication of any close-ups (I have a friend who shot him @ a local club). Seems someone is afraid of looking his age (or in Lou's case, beyond his age).

Well having lived two lifetimes at least over the last 45 years he probably is starting to get a bit of that Keith Richards glow about him.
