You guys are going to wear dresses?

Of all weekends for me not to be there with a camera :D

You remember that place where we had coffee? With the ballroom? That's where you could meet with us tomorrow, would you be in Berlin. Dresses are optional.

God I hate Berlin.

Big, empty: it has successfully rebranded itself as the victim of the Cold War rather than the perpetrator of the rape of Europe (fascist and communist).

Thanks, but I'd rather avoid Berlin...

Now that's like people complaining about the Noctilux in the "Post your Noctilux image thread..." ...

We obviously like the city, since we live here by choice.

Each to their own: I've just never been anywhere I felt more alien, more uncomfortable and more angry than Berlin.

That is strange, I got the complete opposite feel, I was very at-home and comfortable, the people were nice and it's a clean place.

Sorry, Martin, won't be there this weekend. Have to get the car fixed first, then I'll be back but I'm afraid I'll miss you then.

Sounds like you came here with a biased opinion and found all your prejudices to be true. So your journey was a complete success, wasn't it?

Hey, she wants to learn fotography and developing. I can't move to Berlin so one of you guys should snatch her up!

Go tell her I said hello and strike up a conversation. Offer to teach her.

That was a good day. Very interesting crowd, as always.

Chris, I might actually remember her. Something to look forward to!

And that fountain pen picture made me smile ;)

Actually, it was exactly the opposite. I came wanting to love the place (most of the people in my circle worship Berlin), but the longer I stayed, the more I felt... uncomfortable. A linguistic trick here, a moment of pointless cruelty there, a logical leap in the middle... when I left I was happy to go, and I don't want to go back.

One bright enough to impair my vision for several minutes every time it was used ;)

Cool picture.

Thanks and sorry Martin. I am not very experienced with flash photography, but I guess I have found a way to make the experience a bit more comfortable for the subject.

@Chris: Nothing special, just a 5 Euro flash from the flea market.
