Just looking at the weather forecast for Friday, the day I arrive in Berlin. One weather service gives -8 C for the HIGH and -13 C for the low. My poor Leica will freeze! I need a heated soft release.

It is already quite cold today. Don't worry about your Leica, but those things tend to get very cold, so gloves would be a good idea.

A zip lock bag is also quite useful for preventing condensation when entering a warm, damp area from out of the cold.

I'm not worried - more joking than anything, thinking of my hands freezing to the Leica.

Thanks for reminding me about the zip-lock bag. I've used the zip-lock bag in the tropics too, where going from an air conditioned laboratory in a field station to 99% humidity outside can result in instant fog on the lens and finder.

Georg, Simon (even though he doesn't know it yet) and I will go to the Nan Goldin exhibition tomorrow afternoon. If anyone wants to join in, feel free.

alright alright alright alright.
I just played a gig with a fantastic combo of fellow musicians in the edelweiss at the görlitzer park and I'm still a little hyper. might be the opposite tomorrow :D

Aww... I would have liked to join you guys as well. But I got too much homework to do. Next time hopefully...

The exhibitions at the Berlinische Gallerie were a bit overwhelming. We just managed to take the first floor. Well worth a longer visit in my opinion. There is also a cafe for taking a rest. Personally I liked the prints of Emil Otto Hoppé best.

Shared darkroom in Berlin?

Shared darkroom in Berlin?

I am playing with the thought of starting to print pictures and am looking for access to a shared darkroom in Berlin. Setting everything up in my apartment is a bit of a hassle. I could contribute an old Meopta Opemus IIa enlarger.
