Just a heads up for interested folks who can get to London. There's an exhibition of Bert Hardy's photos to celebrate his centenary coming up.
It opens 4 April at Photographers Gallery, Ramillies Street (that's just off Oxford St near Oxford Circus tube), London, and is open till 23 May.
Normally open seven days a week, but I note they are closed 8-11 April

What a huge number of excellent B&W pictures. I had never heard of him, but that isn't saying much. It looks like it would be a wonderful exhibit.

Met Bert Hardy many years ago when he gave a talk at a local camera club. What a nice guy. His photography was great too. The stories he told of how he got the shots, sometimes sneakily, were very interesting. There is a book about him, forgot the title but its a good read if you can find it.

I unexpectedly had a day free today, so went up to Central London and had a look. The exhibition consists of about twenty prints, all well worth seeing, but I did wish there were more.
