Always nice to see, but a pity about the captions telling you what you can already see, but failing to tell you what is actually known about the context.

Great shots, but I agree with Jonathan about the captions. Just states what's obvious without any insight. I met Bert Hardy many years ago when he came to give a talk at a local camera club. A very nice guy and very entertaining too. He told some great stories about his career.

Like others have said, shame about the lame commentary. Its like something provided for the visually impaired, only they wouldn't be able to read it ????? Bizarre....

I must also agree - great work, but I don't like being told how to interpret the expressions of the subjects, or the scene portrayed. If a photo needs a caption to stand up, it's not strong enough - which is not the case with these - the text is superfluous. This is the first time I've seen this photographer's work, so thank you!
