Hasselblad may have been the first 6x6 SLR, but by no means was it the first to use that format. As rover mentions, there have been a lot of 6x6 TLRs and folders, both before and after the first Hassy came out in the late 1940s. And since then a number of medium format manufacturers have had 6x6 SLRs or rangefinders in their line -- Kowa, Bronica SQ, Rollei, Mamiya 6.

I heard you can with Kodak Brownies, too, it's just a matter of modifying the spool (I heard).
