..finally I got one. Folding mechanism gets very smooth, Rangefinder working and quite accurate (put a paper focussing screen on the film level and checked at 1.2, 3, 5m and infinity, aberration within depth-of-field).
SychroCompur fires at all speeds (say, the 1s is about 50% too slow) incl. self-timer. Also it still has it's case. The most compact focussing panel camera ever made...

heh, have fun should WE say! You've got yourself one of the best rangefinder cameras ever.

About a year ago, I sold off much of my folder collection. One of the cameras that I couldn't part with was my Agfa Record III and it's not even close to the heirloom quality of the Bessa II.
The 6x9 negs will trounce what you can do with a 35mm using a lens with the same field of view. Start exercising that "left finger" for the shutter release and for slow shutter speeds down to 1/25th of a second, I recommend getting a monopod, like the Slik EZ-Pod.

I have an old Bessa and it is the most wonderful camera to hold and use! can't wait for the sun to start shining here
