For framing, auxiliary finders that go into the shoe mount on top are an option. A very cheap alternative is to disassemble a single use camera and kitbash your own finder.
I almost always shoot my L with the lens at f8 or higher, hyperfocal. If I have to guesstimate distance, I wear size 14 shoes which are ~1 foot so I use them. 😉
I guess you could call us a bunch of gear heads, running off with your thread and all that.. Only just saw the pictures. Bet it's the 15mm; that Guiness looks completely out of reach.. very suggestive. The latter two are a bit heavy on the perspective imo..
