I sold my RF camera recently. It was very difficult for me to focus in the path.
I only use my 25 mm VC with finder and a VC 35 mm. Also I have a 50 mm hardly used.
I,m thinkin to buy a Bessa L or T (they are the cheapest VF cameras for my lens)
I read cameraquest information about both but I can,t understand the handly differences using a 25 mm .
Both need VF, similar metering information, don,t have patch to focus ( I love this).
I will use this camera for quiet photographs, architecture, landscapes, urban, neither social nor people.
regards.

The Bessa L is LTM and as you say does not have an RF patch. The Bessa T is M Mount and has an RF patch which due to the magnification and baselength is very accurate. If you don't need the patch and only want to use LTM lenses, the L would be the cheaper option. If you think you may want to use an M mount lens, The T would be best.

The T feels more substantial and generally nicer, and allows rangefinder focusing of your 50. It's certainly the one I'd go for. (I've had both and my wife has a T)

Cheers,

R.

I have both, and I usually prefer the T for photography [over the L]. The pair [L and T]make a great couple for travel.

If you're considering a Bessa L versus T, have you factored in that the Bessa-T needs an LTM-M adapter to mount screwmount lenses?

The T has a built in rangefinder where as the L has none. The T is a bit taller (because of the rangefinder) and a bit heavier. The T is the only Bessa that will handle fast and longer lenses (e.g. 85/2, 105/2.5, 135/3.5) with a problem even close up (it has a longer effective base length). The T is a second generation Bessa, where as the L is a first. The T takes a winder (not very important for your style of photography).

I carried an L with a 25/4 just about everywhere, it was my everything camera. The combo was so lightweight some times I forgot it was with me. I never had a problem with the L in many years of use.

I used the T for years with all of my other lenses (35/1.7, 85/2, 90/2, 105/2.5) that I needed a rangefinder to focus. I love the way the T hangs with a winder attached (from right side of the camera) perfect for quick draws.

If price is an issues, go with the L. It will be harder to use with the 50, but for what you shot you should be fine.

Less so, go with a T. She is a sold well built camera that should last a LONG time.

Even less so, get a T for the 35 and 50 and an L for the 25.

I had two Ts and two Ls. The only reason I sold them was because I was cutting back to one system for me, another for my sons to use. I shoot a Nikon S3-2000 and have an R 15/35/75 for them.

Bessa L is the perfect companion for CV 25/4. This combo was made for each other...

But keep in mind that with both L and T you will need separate viewfinders for each focal length you use and they are rather expensive.
