Boy!... It's great to see all these new Bessa L shooters comming as of lately! Ive been wanting to screw on the 25/4 lens & load mine up with a roll of film, but I just don't know what kind of film I wan't to go with yet. I'm leaning toward some kodak hi-def 400 asa or fuji supera 200 asa. Then some kind of b&w sounds nice too, XP2 maybe, especially sense it's winter time here & color is kinda blaa anyhow. So what is your favorite film to use with your Bessas?

For color I prefer Kodak UC 400 or Kodak Gold 200. I've used both films in my Bessa L with good results but neither will tolerate underexposure very well.

Here's a lone sample from my gallery; taken with the L + CV 15mm on Kodak UC 400 (#%^&@! 15O kb file size limit prevented me from uploading any more).

Glad to see all the new Bessa L users joining the Scale Focus Revolution 🙂

Was up in the swiss mountains over xmas/new year. Had taken a Bessa L with CV 21mm/red filter/Ilford FP4 and a Canon Powershot S3 with me. Guess which camera was mostly in my pocket - the L of course - the Canon batteries uncharged much too fast in the cold.

My absolute favorite has always been the L with Skopar 25 and the HP5 in the 36 round clip.

Chris that 15mm on bessa L is one awsome lens. I like the kodak gold 200 and have some. I got a great deal on a bunch of XP-2 36 roll but I cringe at the thought of running it through my bessa because rewinding is a frightening experence on that camera. Every time I rewind a roll of 24 the tension is so tight I wonder if the crank is going to break. The only thing I dislike on these cameras.
