Well, I am awaiting my new Bessa R to come in the mail from CameraQuest...
Having had assorted cameras with alternative leathers on them, I would love to do the same with my Bessa... But it seems as though there arent any out there, or at least I havent been able to come across a place or any one who has re skinned a bessa.
Is this because the camera can NOT be recovered? I have no way of checking this since my camera isnt here yet, but would the rubberized coating on the body be too thick to have a leather that could replace it properly, or does it cover some vital components, or what???
I bought a Silver Bessa just because I wanted to reskin it, and now it seems that I might not be able to. If any of you can give me a heads up on why it may not be possible, or if it is possible, and I've just overlooked it, please do let me know. Thanks!!!!!

Thanks, Sherm... I've already sent them out an email, just awaiting a reply. I did hear a little while back though, that they were having problems with communication and shipments and such (People thought that they were closing their doors for business) and I havent heard anything since.
Does Anyone know if these guys are still producing Leather Kits????

Awesome, thanks... That was a beautiful camera you had there, even if it was for that short while... which red was it that you used?
I really wish that Cameraleather had more affordable prices on their better looking stuff, or at least more of a variety on their lesser expensive coverings! The cobalt blue would look so great on some of my cameras (not to mention, that it's my favorite color!!!)

it was the cardinal red goatskin.
yeah, that cobalt blue was my second choice, very striking!
