Hi, I did the "do it yourself" RF alignment on my Bessa R. It was an easy fix but I have questions. Does the temperature (extreme cold or heat) have any effect on RF alignment with the R or other RFs? Also, if the RF is perfecly aligned at infinity should it be right on at close and middle focus distances as well? Thanks for replys.

I think the general rule of calibrating the RF alignment is to fix close focus first and the infinity would sort itself out right?

With the Bessa R, I'm not aware that there is any close-focus adjustment that can be made easily. All of the repair notes you'll find here on this site, or elsewhere, talk about adjusting the vertical and the infinity alignments only. I do agree that setting the close focus first is the best way to do it.
