Bessa R Back deterioates

I have a Bessa R and the camera back's rubber became sort of sticky, does anyone else have this problem and what would be the way to clean it or even is it possible to replace the back with a brand new one?

I have the same problem with a Bessa L. My solution of two or so years ago was to buy 2 more Bessa L's, at the rock bottom price of $69 and $99. At the time, I spoke to Gandy about replacing the back and he said it would require taking the camera apart.

I had the idea to take the camera with the sticky back, perhaps sand the surface of the back and spray paint it. But, that would be a mess with the back on the camera and probably get grit or debris in the mechanism.

It seems like the camera needs to be taken apart for the back to come out. Think i would just gaffer the back first and see how.

I hope mine doesn't go bad, it's fine so far. Scratches easily though. Poor design but great camera.
