Bessa R Case.

Hi,
I bought a used black one for my bessaR and Nokton 50 but it doesn't properly fit the kit if the hood and cap are on the lens :bang:... it's a nice half case anyway 🙂.

The case from my Nikon FG (and I would assume F10) fit the Bessa R and R2, etc. perfectly. Makes sense as these cameras were made for Nikon by Cosina and are the basis/chassis for the Bessa RF cameras.

I've got the black case, and it fits with my 35 and 50 just fine. The place where the snap in back fits does rub a spot on the back a bit, but I put a piece of velcro fluff across the back, and it's just fine. I normally just keep the bottom attached, as I keep it in a gear bag, anyhow.

Regards!
Don

The black case can hold a larger lens.

If he is still selling the brown case for $1 more with a body, grab it.

I think I;ll get it anyway since it's only a buck. But it's really fugly.

Can't provide advice here, as I never use cases. I have a large Domke brick bag and keep all my cameras in it. Pull out the Bessa R when I want to use it. If it gets a scratch or two during use I could care less. It's obviously not a collector camera. (Although, how many times have I made that assumption in my life - and been wrong?)

But I do use a half case on my Kiev 4AM just for the nostalgia look. I drilled out the snap, thus separating the top from the bottom.

As a half case, the one-buck deal from CQ is great on my Bessa T.
Camera, usually with a 35/2.8 goes in my small grey padded
camera bag... half case and all.

The Bessa R bought used from an RFF member, is in the mail...
A side grip comes with it, thus no case will be used with the R.

In any event, CQ's one-buck deal is a great opportunity if a camera
body is ordered.

Cheers, mike
