Just had a look at Cameraquest. The info dosen't say anything about the R being discontinued.

The R was discontinued once the R2 was introduced. The factory is out of Bessa L's, T's, R and R2's.
I am out of R2's. I will likely run out of L, T, and R's within the next 3 to 6 months.

The implied question is: Does Cosina only have 2 models in current production? Do they limit the number of Voigtlander models made at any one time? Would they make a new "batch" of a previous camera if enough demand was there?
I am assuming that all Cosina-made cameras are made in batches. It would be very wishful thinking to assume that all current Cosina-made cameras were in continuous production and assembly all the time. The volume is just not there for that kind of manufacturing.

All CV products made in batches. Once discontinued, they will not be re-introduced. R2A / R3A current production. R2M / R3M 250th Anniversary sets current product, but technically discontinued since the 250th Anniversary sets are limited production. No regular production R2M / R3M announced yet.
the superb, small, sharp, inexpensive Leica screw mount 25/4 lens is discontinued, selling out stock. And of course the same applies to the R2S / R2C and the SC Nikon Rangefinder mount lenses. Also discontinued are the Double Shoe Adapter B and C (A stays in production), the classic Voigtlander Prominent lens adapters to Nikon or Contax rangefinders, the 35/2.5 Pancake Type 1 (Type II in production), the 50/3.5 Heliar, the Type 1 VC Meter (Type II in production).

Yes, all the screw mount CV lenses will fit all the screw mount CV Bessas, as well as the M mount CV Bessas with the screw mount to M adapter.
the CV 25 and shorter lenses include the wide angle viewfinders with the lens.
