Here's proof that the Bessa R and a 21mm/f4 CV is a good kit to take to sea. THIS picture was taken with my DSLR (forgive me) just to show off how nicely it fits in with the caviar crowd. Film was Arista EDU 100 Ultra, rated at 175 ? ( two clicks above 100).

Check out today's gallery entries for examples from the Bessa/21 combo. Developed with FG-7 for 8 minutes at 68 degrees.

Indirect cloudy-bright light most of the time, skies blown out lots of the time. Didn't shoot b/w inside the hull of the ship...

I was sorta out of my element, but I managed to rub elbows with the toffs and enjoy the voyage a lot!

Regards!
Don

Oscroft...sorry for the oblique reference to the "real" photographs taken with the Bessa. You'll have to visit my gallery to see 'em. Sometimes I type faster than I think... I also put a version of this post in the "film" category, where the details might be a bit more clear. sorry...

erikhaugsby...yeah...the Canon strap is a nice match for the Bessa. I "dimmed" the graphics with a black Sharpie, guess I need to do it again, eh?

Regards!
