I have the 28mm, f3.5, and love it. Great photos and it is quite small. I just received a VC 28mm viewfinder and have been using it to frame my shots. Before, I just used the full viewfinder beyond the 35mm framelines. I can tell the difference only in closer shots. My ultimate travel bag with the R would be the 28, 50 f2.5, and the 90. Two small lenses that can be put in a pocket or small bag and they all take 39mm filters. Compact and fully functional.

mine is currently the 35/2 russian 50/2 and Nikkor 85/2 I want to add a very fast lens and think I will go with the 50/1.5
