Bessa R/R2/R3 viewfinder tint?

Hello,
whats the colour of the viewfinder?

I like my Leica CL a lot because of its warm tone viewfinder.
So whats the tone of the Bessa's viewfinder?

I realy would like to upgrade to a R2 or R3, because of its larger viewfinder, but I need to be sure, that there is no blueish tint.

I accept a neutral and warm tone, but not blue.

BTW: I want to use a 35mm, as I do on my CL. (full VF area, taped window)
I have read that the R2/ RA/M has ~87% frameline coverage for 35mm, so the entire VF would be perfectly usable for full 35mm , right?
Same question for R3A/M

The viewfinder on my Bessa R has a completely neutral tonal rendition.
This is an advantage with a camera of the R3x series, as the 1:1 VF magnification allows you to view with both eyes open.

I wear glasses, and find the 35mm framelines to be usable. Better than the 35mm framelines on the Canon 7s, and Leica M7 0.85, which require scanning around to see the entire frame.

I have once looked through a Zeiss Ikon and was just impressed.
So the VF's of Bessa's could be the same as in a Zeiss ikon?

I have used M2,M3,M4-2, and M6, CL and Canon P.

Best of all is M3, no doubt, M2 and M4-2 next.
And I was just disappointed by M6 and Canon P.

I like the idea of an 1:1 finder, but I think 0,72x of Bessa R2 will be better because its hard to overview the 35mm FOV at 1:1 mag..
Can somebody check this theory?

The Bessa R3x don't offer 35mm frame lines. 40mm is the widest that they offer.

Yes I know that the R3 only offers 40mm frames, but I would use the whole VF for 35mm.

Paul do you wanted to say that the Bessa's VF is just clean as a window can be? 😀

On my M7, the viewfinder windows have some polarization. Thus, the field around the RF patch is very slightly darker than the RF patch itself. However, because of the polarization, the contrast is very high. The overall view is something to behold.

The Bessa R seems to be an untinted window on the world. Clear glass, with a frameline floating around. I don't think there is polarization of the glass.

Ok well, neutral tone is fine.
I just have a huge aversion looking through a blue tinted VF.
I used the Olympus 35 RC for several years and that camera's VF is realy like a blue filter. ;-)

When I will spend more money for a decent camera, it should have neutral or better a warm tone or it will be not buyed. 😀
