Bessa R self timer screw thread

I have posted this question on the DIYS page and on the CV page, with no results, so hopefully I will be luckier here. Does anyone know if the screw securing the self-timer lever in a Bessa R is lefthand or righthand thread? The screw appears to be plastic, meaning it will surely break if I turn it the wrong way. Probably break if I turn it the right way too. What a place to use a plastic screw!
