Bessa R2 - can min focus be adjusted?

As you may know, Bessa R2 only couples RF down to 0.9m I dont know why, since this is an M-mount camera with plenty lenses that focus down to 0.7m. But Cosina fixed this in newer R2A/M and later models. I wonder if there is a DIY way to make R2 have a coupled RF down to 0.7m? Any ideas?
