Bessa R2 rides again.... Wooohooo!!!

Howdy,

Some of you might remember my Bessa R2 story: the one where the shutter/film-advance mechanism locked up and was diagnosed "beyond economic repair" due to it being dropped on a floor 2 years ago.

There I was head in hand, ready to give up, when "all of you" suggested I get a second opinion from Stephen Gandy or someone else...

Well I did, and they've finally come back after a bit of prodding: £75 (US$140), which is well within my economics, or those of a camera retailing at £399. So may I wholeheartedly recommend: JP Service Solutions . (originally recommended by an RFF member).

Good news!!! I have a couple old SRT bodies hanging around which need some repair and CLA. It just burns me to have non functional bodies hanging around. Glad to hear that your R2 will live again.
