Hi there and good evening folks.
Noticed my rangefinder was slightly off today so I went about adjusting it.
I set it to infinity and used a building a good few miles away. It seems ok but I haven't checked against calibrated distances.
I'm due to test it tomorrow and have a few questions.
In regards to testing it for close focussing shall I mark out a range and test the focus at each point: 0.7, 0.8, 1 etc.
I'm thinking of marking out distance markers on paper taped together up to 3 meters.
I suppose I won't truly know if its focusing right until the film is developed?
However, tomorrow I will set the camera down, and check the focus on the RF patch and see how it looks.
From here I'll take say three photos of each distance with different apertures and then check once developed?
Also what apertures should I be using for the test? I can put three rolls through.
Much of my shooting will be 2.8-5.6 but often at 1.4
Thanks in advance and thank you for all the great advice that's on this forum.
