I appreciate the offer, really I do........but I think maybe I'll hang on to it for a while. Besides, I now have an excuse not to get rid of the Bessa-T😀 I wonder if the wife will fall for it......OH Honey, guess what......

Hmmm........I also have the Canon 100/2. If the 85, 90/2 are difficult to focus, I'm wondering how the 100 will fare.

The effective base length of the R2A is not sufficient for a 100/2 lens at its maximum aperture, nor would it be sufficient to be problem free at f/2.8. You should be able to use the Canon 100/2 comfortably at f/4 & smaller apertures. Even for the 50/1.5, the R2A is close to its limit for critical focus when shooting at maximum aperture & up close although it is adequate & will be fine in most situations.

Many factors contribute to the ability to focus accurately. How much contrast is available in the scene? Are you relying on superimposition of the two rangefinder images? Or are you trying to align two lines from the images in the picture, such as a pole? What size enlargement are you intending? What's acceptable for one situation may not be for another.

Thanks, guys, for your help. I haven't had the 100/2 for very long, so I haven't had a chance to use it much, especially wide open. In addition to the Bessa-T, I have a Canon-P that I had originally planned to use the lens with (because of the built-in frame lines). In your opinions, would the T or the P be the better choice for the 100/2, shooting wide open?
