Hey guys, my bessa r2m with 50mm heliar arrived today! However, I noticed that there is a weird "zzz" sound when changing to slower shutter speeds like 1/8 (only when shutter is cocked). They seem to be firing at the correct speed though. Any help?

The feel of the body and lens is great though. Gonna start running some rolls through it.

Don't worry, it's just the transition from fast to slow timer. It's meant to do it.

Enjoy it - it's a nice camera.

Whew... I was really paranoid about it. it seemed to make specific noises when changing specific slow shutter speeds (like 1/15-1/8 and vice versa).

planning to get a 35mm for it.

torn between f2.5 PII, ultron 1.7, or the nokton 1.4 or 1.2.

Ideally it would be the 1.2, but its too pricey at the moment for me. 1.4 seems to be "love it or hate it". and the color skopar seems to be darn sharp and good.

Congrats on finding a "new" set! While you're considering other lenses, you have the most interesting 50mm Heliar Classic to explore. Mine is just back from DAG with 6-bit coding, now being checked out on an M8. While checking the focus point in real-world pics, I'm reminded how smooth are the out-of-focus areas, even under the torture-test of leafy trees against the sky. This lens is unusual in being the fastest 5-element Heliar formula lens ever made, and it's producing lovely results for me. Hope you enjoy yours as much.
