Bessa R3A or Hexar RF

I had a Hexar RF and found it to be superb. I mostly shot 50mm on it although the viewfinder is probably better suited to 35mm. I found the metering to be good.
I bought a Bessa R3A put one roll of film through it, sold it, and kept the Hexar. I didn't like the fact the rangefinder patch moved separately to the framelines and found the build didn't feel as nice as the Hexar.

I've recently sold the Hexar (after owning for around 5 years) as it's getting little use now I've gone digital and bought an M8.

My advice? If you want a film rangefinder go for an Ikon or an M7. You'll have the security of knowing they can be repaired and if you don't you'll always wonder about them.

Hexar
- 4000 max speed
- ability to consistently get 37-38 shots/roll
- ability to change mid-roll with ease
- RF can be aligned with little difficulty by a novice
- same baselength as M, and can use megaperls magnifiers

It's a great camera and so I have several.
