Does anyone know how to remove the wind lever of the Bessa T?
I have to remove the top to check out the rangefinder. It got somewhat stuck shaking the roads of Kenya.

thanks, Rob.

Well, I am feeling lucky today. The rangefinder got stuck at about 3m. distance. Focussing up from close to infinity is not a problem, but the other way it gets stuck.
The top is removable after unscrewing the wind lever (underside!) and two screws behind the rubber at the outer left and right side. The flash contact does not have to be removed.
Now I have the rangefinder itself out of the camera. I think it is a lack of lubricant at the underside, below the eyepiece. Kenya was not that hot...
Now, how to proceed?

Rob.

Is there a God of Photography? The Greeks and Romans did not practice photography...
My DIY effort should be contributed to that God of Photography!

The Bessa is not the world's greatest dust-proof camera. The steel mechanism that moves the rangefinder mirror has an increadibly small clearance. A mounting screw sticks through and voila, just a little dust or wear can get it stuck.

I managed to put the puzzle back together again and apart from checking the rangefinder and mounting the top it is done!

cheers, Rob.
