Bessler 23c Sanity Check

Looks like a nice rig... as with a camera, the enlarger lens is a key to quality of the results. :)

Good choice!

Good choice!

I had one of these. It's a good basic condensor enlarger.

This model is still sold new, so spare parts are available.

You will find a good selection of used Omega negative carriers
and other accessories on eBay.

Well, the Unicolor enlarger I used when I was in high school is now in the trunk of my car. My father actually had the lens, elcheapo Unicolor 50mm, saved safe and sound, and knew where it was!!! It turned on, has the negative carrier, 35mm only, and after I cleaned the soot off of it, 20 in an attic, lots of ick to clean, she looks pretty good. Now I have 2 enlargers. I have to focus on the easel and timer, Nikkor lenses are there to be had at any time from ebay.

You may want to take a look at the Durst M600, if you only work with 6x6 and smaller negatives. It stores nicely, has a decent footprint and can be had for a pittance.
