Best camera body for waist level shooting?

If you're already running a m240, you just need a Olympus Vf-2, which will let you use your m240 at waist level.

Inspired by Sean Reid's article on waist level shooting (tlr-style), I'd like to pick up a mirror-less digital body with articulated EVF to experiment with on holiday.

I'll have A Leica M outfit with me, so could use a 35 Cron on it. Or may be better to use a native lens for AF.

What do you recommend for easiest and most effective waist level shooting? Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Canon, other... ?

Best camera for this in my opinion is a Rolleiflex.

Well yes or other tlr's.
In digital, the cameras all seem fairly comparable.
I would recomend a fuji x70.
The lens is already perfect for the task and the fuji jpegs options are the best in camera renders of all digital cameras.
Lastly the fuji app now is mature.
Quick and easy transfers to mobile are part of the new agenda.
Fuji has this figured out.

For interchangeable lens I would recomend a fuji xa1/2/3.
Same nice jpegs but a even nicer bayer raw file.
A fuji xa with a CV 4/21 or 4/25 is a very, very nice hyperfocal wlf set up.

Coolpix 4500 swivelled to WLF mode was great with the children. "Is something wrong with that camera Dad?" "Yes...I'm not sure....I'm just trying to fix it..."

No finder, but I often use a Leica at waist level too.

Yeah I do that to. With some practice you can get pretty good at it. Winogrand got pretty good at shooting without looking through the viewfinder. a lot of sharpshooters can shot coins out of the air without aiming. Practice practice practice.....

I used the CoolPix 900 series cameras like this often. Lots of fun. I'm not sure any of the ones you list would be bad.

Keep in mind that if it's not full frame, your 35 might turn into a 70 or a 52 depending upon which system you go with.

Right? I'm sure the designers had the TLR experience in mind when they designed the 950 (which I had) or any of the swivel coolpixes.

Of the Leicas, shooting blind, probably the wider M5 was my favourite for trying to keep it level. Even with the viewfinder, this is not easy with ultra wide-angle lenses, and I found the M5 useful at those wider focal lengths.
