I am sure this topic was discussed more then at least once. However, I would be most interested to know what the best flash to use is combined with Bessa R2A.
Thanks,
Michael

since the Cosina Bessas have no TTL flash, it does not make a lot of differnce which flash you use. the first place to look is the flash atop your own SLR. IF it offers auto exposure from a sensor on the flash, try that. Personally I like the high end Nikon flashes with variable f/stops, variable manual power, zoom flash coverage, and rotating flash heads. Tajke note that the discontinued and relatively inexpensive Nikon SB-25 or 26 offers all of these, you don't need to buy Nikon's latest and most expensive flash.

I use a Metz 32z-2 on both my R2 and R2a with no probs. The thing I love about it is the correct exposure confirmation light. It's just reassuring, especially since I am flash-clueless. Plus the color temperature of the flashhead is slightly warm, not the bright white of my SB28. I also like the short profile, but it still can rotate and angle in all directions.
