Best Fuji Medium Format camera?

the counter appears to have been part of some Fuji sales scheme in Japan (where these cameras were used by bus tour operators rather than pro photographers, and where 500 rolls may have meant a fairly long time of relatively rough outdoor use).

I do have to ask, where is this info coming from? I have been seeing these Fuji cams on ebay for dirtcheap whenever they are being sold from Japan so i wonder.

I think they are also a lot more common in Japan than over here (outside of Japan). Like the 6x8 that is like the 690or 670 (not the GX), almost unfindable exept in Japan.

I gladly recommend the GF670 (no longer produced) or its Voigtlander equivalent, dittoing all that Andy writes above.

Concerns about film plane/focus on folding cameras are legitimate, but on the other hand I have a 1937 Ikonta 520/16 that has had no problem in this regard for 80 years and still shoots beautifully--and my GF670 is about 75 years younger and more robustly built.

^^^ The "Let's Re-Purpose Fuji GX680 Lenses" project continues. This one arrived yesterday from Japan. The 125mm F3.2 GX hacked to the Plaubel Makiflex.

This one is pretty cool. I think it will be good for handholding.
