I think in lens market have a certain break obvious. There have came many new old designs and older pure classics have less demand. For example I got to know one Summicron 35/2, first version and Wetzlar made, hadn't sold even 700€ prized and it looks good. Silver one with some wearing and using marks, but perfect lenses and function. I have opportunity to buy it but me too think new alternatives as a Zeiss Biogon 35/2.

Is this kind of prise lowering true or only little market happens when in Finland live only 5 million people.

And maybe I cannot say Biogon like an old? Definately true it would be with with Sonnar 50/1.5. Voitglander have some kind of "new old" too.

It's a quite difficult to choose between old and new. Do you know so kind of pure classics that new cannot replace - even partly? Listed classics would be nice.

In lens is important not to be significant distortion. Do that turn my choose to new Biogon from the Summicron mentioned? Vignetting is other no, no! Did I demand too much?

Sorry if this is in a wrong place here, but I don't know where it belongs better. This forum is aimed towards the technical side of photographic optics and lenses. There will be some overlap by camera/manufacturer, but this forum is for the heavy duty tech discussions. This is NOT the place to discuss a specific lens or lens line, do that in the appropriate forum. This is the forum to discuss optics or lenses in general, to learn about the tech behind the lenses and images. IF you have a question about a specific lens, post it in the forum about that type of camera, NOT HERE.
This instruction make me quite confused. Can I ask directly have a Summicron first version distortion or not?
