I cannot use the 7 -- I think it needs some sort of diopter correction to work with my eyes, since the RF/VF image is always blurred. It may be fine for you, though.

Personally I love the ZI. It's lighter than a Leica to the point where you're happy to have it round your neck for extended periods. However for me the 28mm frames are difficult to see easily -- too much eye swivelling -- so if you want one camera and need 28mm then a Leica with 0.58 finder is best.
