Other than paying more than what the body cost for a Pany-branded one? My needs are quite simple and very infrequent....

Do you want Full TTL Auto, or will a manual flash work...With F/stop Auto do OK ?
A Olympus T32 with a safe sync is a nice combo, and will cover a 14mm lens on a G1... Under $100.00...

Take a look at the Olympus FL36 with a Sto-fen Omni bounce. A great combination with the G1. (I use mine on the G1, DLUX4 and E-P2, all with TTL functions.) If you want to use the flip up flash on the G1 for fill, check out Gary Fong's "Puffer". They really soften up the small on camera flash. Good luck.

This is a nice flash for the money
It is a bit smaller than a reg bounce/swivel higher powered unit... which is convenient.

I use the FL36 with an EP1 and it underexposes (Flash works Ok on an E330). Do you experience this problem on the EP2? .
Thanks
