What is the easy and best way to create slideshows for M8 files . I am thinking a program where you just drag the photo file directly onto a box and visually move it where you want it in the slide show. If you want to delete it, drag it out of the box. I use MAC, so what has everyone else been using. I have Lightroom.
A must is so this program compresses the photos so they do not slow down the program, kind of like the way Lightroom imports a quick collection.

Have you tried OS X's Preview? I find it works like a charm even with large size files.

I was told today by a close friend that is a pro like me that Photoshop elements has a wonderful slide show application that is as simple as clicking on the photos icon in a folder and dragging it into the slide show box and thats it. Anyone use Photoshop elements for this? I have CS2, NX2 , etc,, and it is interesting that this non pro package may have what I need.

I use Slideshow Pro for Lightroom 2. Integrates perfectly with it.

Thanks for this info. I had exactly the same query and didn't previously know about Slideshow Pro.
Ah, the value of community!

Picasa (free download from Google) has a simple slideshow creator. You can select multiple images and either view them as a slide show or you can "create a gift cd" with the selected images which can include a slideshow. That way you can give someone the CD and they can play the slideshow without having to download, install and run Picasa. I've used it for non-techies and they found it easy to use.
