Better gallery questions

While we're on the subject of the gallery, sanity check here, am I going crazy or did right click (as in to save an image to your disk) get recently disabled in the gallery?

I swear I used to be able to do this, but this afternoon I tried to save one of my own photos in the gallery to the disk, and right click had no effect. I thought it was the laptop at work, which does get flaky, so I just tried it at home and nothing either. I swear this used to work.

Am I on drugs or did this change in the recent past? Thanks.

Is it really broken? Not for me...so I would vote to leave it mostly alone.

Some changes may be beneficial but I like that last suggestion by dmr of making old and new features mostly customizable in profile, if that is possible.

Another vote to bring back views AND date.

As with rouge_designer, flickr is blocked by my corporate firewall and I am unable to get on when I am on the road - which, lately, is a lot of the time.

Hey! what happened to "views"? Since most people don't bother leaving comments, one of the best ways to judge a photo's visual impact is to place it in the Gallery and count hits.

Agreed. Is this something we can turn back on individually?

I'm not sure if someone has said this before because I haven't read the whole thread. I had a lot of problems with the albums. I had a collection of photos. I made an album and moved in some of my images. It copied them. Now there were two separate copies of the same photo in my albums and in my photo stream. The copy did not keep the comments left. I deleted the single picture outside my album and it often deleted the copy in the album---or messed with its display. I ended up having to delete all my photos and restart with pictures only in one album. I lost all the nice comments that some members had taken the time to leave. Flickr is really superior when it comes to albums. I put most of my photos there and upload a few here in case anyone is interested in seeing what I do or how my old rangefinder and lenses draw pictures.

Agree with Sirius, I would like to move (not copy) easily my posted photos to an album without loosing comments.

Nico, yes I´m with you about "rate", and I miss "date" and "view".

Get your gallery photo on screen large size.

Under it, about four lines down, is 'Admin Options: Edit Photo'.

Click there

Then look for 'Change Category' and move the photo with comments to your album.

This is a move not a copy.

Thank you

Thank you

It works😎 . Thank you Jon 😀

The views/date are back in the gallery, thank you Jorge.

Thanks from me, too. I had a feeling that there was an easy way to do it. The point I wanted to make though is that it is easy to screw-up and hard to fix. If RFF is considering how to improve the gallery, then the user-friendliness on this issue can be improved.
