I just calibrated the height last night and found maybe a very slight increase in sharpness at a height of +2mm. It definitely wasn't a big difference. I stopped at about 2.4mm, thinking the screws might fall out the bottom!
I was using the AN Glass Dry mounted on the bottom and Silverfast AI. Is anyone here getting a significant benefit from this holder/process?

Glass mounting
Glass mounting
I get most benefit when scanning 6x17. Regular holders allowed the film to pop during scan. I wet mount to bottom of glass, gives slightly smoother tonality and less grain, tonality change can be seen in histogram.

Thanks Steve, I don't think I am going to wet mount. Maybe I test a little more this weekend before selling the holder....
