Beyonce Bans Photographers From Tour

Shouldn't surprise anyone. Lots of performers officially prohibit photos at performances. If someone gets more negative publicity than positive at a show, there is little incentive to permit it.

She still looks better than anybody who's taking her photos, regardless of the silly faces she makes. ( ̄ー ̄)
You'd think somebody who makes that kind of money would be a little more secure though.

Edit: Actually for what it's worth, the comments her decision has elicited from the man-child tinfoil hat wearing crowd more than makes up for any practical consequences for photogs IMO:

😀 solid gold comedy.

I'm gonna regret having any link to this thread but...
I know that magazines sell a lot of issues depending on their cover shot so there will always be someone out there willing to get "The Shot"...
But, what if they (those photographers) just stopped taking pictures of these so called celebrities...what if they were to just back off completely and not shoot them at all...
No Red Carpet moments...no chasing them without their make-up...no coverage at all...
I would love to see the "Celebrity" reaction to that...I give them a week before they all start crying about not being adored & worshiped...not seeing their faces on the tabloids or gossip rags would just kill their egos...

Actually this is the reason why Reality TV was invented and people like Kim Kardasian were created. It was a backlash from the tabloids/media because of stars who refused to play ball.

I don't see what the big deal is. She's an entertainer. Image is important in the industry, so it makes since they want to minimize negative images. If you don't care for as an entertainer, then who cares. To me she is somebody who shows up in news occasionally. I couldn't care less as long her actions are not harming photographers.

Marketing to the point where who you really are becomes irrelevant ... not to mention something to be concealed and controlled.

In my world she's a nothing ... so big deal!

Yeah...but then that just creates another bunch of nobodies that need worshiping...:bang:

Come on, be fair. She's just trying to protect her image from being snapped by paparazzi in unguarded moments when not at her best. Like when she's yelling at the top of her lungs in front of 10,000 people.
