This just came in my email. I have been using C1 for the RD-1, but Bibble may be worth a look.

Some Highlights:
New Cameras:

Nikon D50, D70s
Epson R-D1.

Straightening Tool:
Since Bibble was released last year, one of the most frequently requested features has been "Arbitrary rotation". After carefully analyzing how folks would use such a feature, we came up with a tool that is simple to use, integrated with the rest of the workflow and easily produces images that are "True". By using this new tool you can quickly make corrections to account for poorly aligned cameras or subjects. As with all image settings in Bibble, once you have your image in alignment, you can easily Copy/Paste the settings other images shot under similar circumstances and they will all automatically be corrected on output.

Plug-in Interface

Bibble now has a plug-in interface to allow third parties to add image processing functionality. Utilizing this interface makes it possible to either add new routines for processing images or replace Bibble's own internal methods. Plug-in authors can utilize Bibble's existing tool and option system to make sure that their options get saved along with all the rest in your .bib files.

BPTLens Plug-in.

To show off the new plug-in system, we have separately released a plug-in to remove lens distortion from your images. See the BPTLens Page for more info.

Faster Raw Processing (Windows)

Pervious versions of Bibble were always the fastest way to process raw images. With Bibble 4.3, we've optimized things even more. Raw Images should now process ~33% faster then before, further widening the gap between us and the other guys.

Highlight recovery

Additional controls added to the highlight recovery suite make it possible to disable it for images on which it performs badly. The new controls also allow you to tweak the constants used to better match your camera and shooting conditions to yield better results and remove the occasional "pink highlight"

Thanks for the info. I would be interested in knowing how it compares to "Capture One Pro" and "Raw Developer" in terms of ease of use and capability. Any comments, advice or recommendations welcome.

I've been running Bibble Pro under Linux for several months. I'd even toyed with the idea of sending them my R-D1 to help get the RAW format supported!

Anyway, I'm really glad that they got ERF support in there (although the default white balance seems a little off). Along with the addition of arbitrary rotation, this release makes for a fairly substantial upgrade. Aside from native Linux support, which is great by itself and huge for me, there's a lot to like about Bibble.

I run C1 Pro on my other machine, originally using it for processing RAW files from Canon DSLRs. Since using Bibble Pro, I've come to prefer its interface and toolset to C1. In particular, the color channel controls and ability to completely desaturate an image make working in mixed color and B&W much easier than in C1 Pro, at least for me,

While Bibble's interface can be a little odd without tweaking, it's easy to come up with something that seems "right". I have run into some issues with stability, but the support through their forum has been quite good.

It's a little rough around the edges but makes for a decent alternative to the other raw converters that are out there.

Interface is a little odd. Guess I have to check the manual to see how to tweek it. Whitebalance is off, daylight is flurecent etc. Testing C1 too, why does it create thumbnails that takes up so much space? They are as large as the RAW itself. 10mb RAW and a 10mb thumbnail, whats the workflow? Do I just manually trash them afterprocessing?
