Canon LTM Big Canonets and Little Canonets

I now have one of each -- a larger QL19 and a smaller QL17 GIII. Am I right in believing that the larger ones are 60's Canonets and the smaller ones are 70's Canonets? The only date I can find related to the crossover is 1969, the release date of the QL17.

Thanks Kim. That confirms the date of 1969 as the date of the QL17/QL17L as the new design: "The first of a new Canonet series developed for compactness and lighter weight"
