Bigfoot, Nessie, inexpensive fast wide-angle

Before I put a big SLR 28 on the RF (and spend that extra money on an adaptor), I would buy VInce's 28 Nikkor.

There is another 28/3.5 Nikkor (black I think) on the bay right now with a BIN of $495. I think that is high but I don't know if it's rare or somesuch. Funny thing is last week the same lens was listed with a BIN of $475, then the listing was ended early and reintroduced at $495. Someone must have told him $475 was too cheap 😀, and now its shot up out of the stratosphere to $495 😱.

But seriously, the best option is probably the CV Ultron. I don't know if the finder costs a lot. If it does, the Skopar still qualifies by your first post.

thanks for the info, everyone.. I'm actually most interested in a Kobalux.. altho the CV Ultron is certainly a nice option (possibly even the better choice).. I'm wavering between image quality, with the Kobalux.. and speed, with the Ultron.. I guess at this point I don't want anything slower than the Kobalux at f2.8 as I tend to shoot 400 speed film indoors on occasion

My fave soviet wide would be the Russar-MR2 20/5.6 but ...

1. it's not as fast as the new stuff available on the market
2. i can have access to two lenses (with their 20mm russian -and lovely- viewfinders) but they're M39 [Kiev version exists somewhere, spotted around even less than Nessie]
3. The cost is a bit high for me... that's around 448 $ (10 500 czech crowns)

They're so cute.... !

I can't help you with the lenses, but the UFO thing, well that's another matter.. I was sleeping when I woke from this humming outside the bedroom window.. it was pitch black.. and then they were there.. Of course, I had an RF ready, and you can see the picture I snapped in the attachment..

I've got the rest of my incredible story here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/presentation.tcl?presentation_id=226996

Hmmm... cheap... fast... wide... 28/2.8... an M-Rokkor!
I've got two of those. Could get rid of one if You're interested, Brett. They both have the white spot disease, and to be honest, I haven't looked for effects in the images. I might say as they do at the 'bay: "...PROBABLY no effects what so ever on the image quality...". I should do some kind of test to see wich one I want to keep...
Haven't thought of a price but i should be well below Your limit.
